Plan, upgrade, and support Development’s data environment. This includes the Oracle E-Business Suite environment, Fusion Middleware Applications, and various other Oracle and SQL Server application databases. Manage a small database team which offers 24hr, support for the environment. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, as well as coordinate projects between other departments in IT. This is a technical hands-on role.
Oversee Oracle E-Business Suite environment. Forty plus licensed mission critical applications, with 2200 + users, including 4 application tiers, (primary, secondary, external, ASCP), a 2 node RAC, standby databases, 3rd party applications and all dev/test applications of the same.
With DBA team; clone, patch, upgrade, troubleshoot and tune the E-Business Suite and its components as needed to support business user testing and troubleshooting. Keep applications in sync with Oracle provided mandatory patches and recommended Oracle security patches.
Perform E-Business System Administration and Workflow E-Business Suite System Administration as needed.
Maintain, support, troubleshoot, patch, and upgrade Fusion Middleware applications, which house the company phonebook, legacy CAS data, Discoverer, and portal. Continually improve integration with Active Directory which allows for SSO integration and streamlining of processes.
Manage small DBA staff, responsible for 30+ Oracle databases, 6 of which are 24x7, and 25 SQL Server databases, 7 of which are 24x7. Management duties will include: performance appraisals, recommendations for raises, recommendations for disciplinary actions, and developing and monitoring training plans.
Participate with the IT management team in planning Production rollouts, ensuring all production outages are planned and coordinated with applicable parties and downtime is minimized.
Manage and evaluate process improvement solutions, which encompass server, databases, and 3rd party tools. Manage database changes and related processes from inception to production deployment making sure they are on time, on budget, and fully functional.
Act as a liaison between upper management. Business users, and other IT Departments on data related topics.
Responsible for evaluating and planning future upgrade paths and timing. Suggesting improvements in database architecture, physical environment, or licensing to maximize performance and cost effectiveness.
Responsible for the IT Data Architecture annual operating budget of approximately $500,000. Annually create the revolving three-year budget and monitor expenditures monthly to ensure that budget requirements are met.
Extensive knowledge of Oracle databases 11g and the E-Business suite R12.
Ability to support and upgrade an Oracle E-Business environment
Experience with E-Business system administration and workflow administration.
Ability to manage multiple E-Business environments at varying version levels.
Ability to quickly troubleshoot Oracle E-business and database errors in a RAC environment.
Knowledge of software integration and sharing of data.
Understanding of information technology standards, procedures and practices.
Understanding of application performance characteristics, especially for the Oracle E-Business suite.
Possess interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of technical and business personnel.
Some experience with SQL Server databases and applications.
Experience with highly specialized computer systems, languages, utilities and data structures.
Experience planning, estimating, and managing information technology projects. Ability to predict and manage to a schedule.
Ability to analyze and assess business needs to recommend an appropriate information technology solution.
Experience in a team environment and with management of a project or functional team.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with groups from diverse backgrounds and technical abilities.

Specific Responsibilities Include

Manage the on-boarding and off-boarding of personnel to Company IT systems in collaboration with HR, IT teams, Hiring Managers and Business Process Owners.
Design and Support the GRC Access Control functionalities, configuration of the rule sets for SOD and Critical Actions, generate Reports for the Business Owners of SOD, Critical Actions and Mitigating Control reviews, update Rule Sets and produce various Reports required for Auditors and Business Owners.
Perform periodic review of User Access in the system thereby complying with the appropriate usage of SAP Licenses and support annual SAP License Audit by generating the data/report required by SAP.
Support various IT Projects and System Upgrades that require setting up and testing SAP Security thru the lifecycle of the implementation.
Manage SAP Service Marketplace/OSS in setting up and maintaining user accounts, Secure Access to SAP and SAP Incidents related to Security.
Support the end to end process improvement based on the future state of business. Collaboratively evaluate and plan for the development of changes to existing SAP roles and create new as necessary to coincide with those changes in the business.
Required Skillsets / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer-related; Masters preferred.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP Security Administration.
Expert understanding of SAP’s authorization concepts, roles and profiles.
Knowledgeable in SAP Security Infrastructure with multiple project implementations.
Working experience with GRC Access Control modules (10.1), generating and analyzing reports, addressing SOX audit requirements and documentation.
Working experience with SAP-ECC6.0, BW, BPC, CRM, PI/PO, Enterprise Portal, CUA, SAP Change/Transport Management, Solution Manager (7.1 & 7.2).
Experience working with ChaRM, HANA systems, BOBJ are preferred.
Ability to adhere to schedules and project timelines.
Possess good proactive communication skills of problems/solutions with experience with training users on SAP security functions.
Demonstrate good understanding of key functions/transactions in SAP and the integration points between various SAP modules, strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot.
